Politico:Vice President Biden said Sunday that the administration had “misread” the economy when it predicted that unemployment would peak at 8 percent if their “Stimulus” bill was passed. As unemployment continues to surge closer to 10%, it is clear by all accounts that the Democrats’ nearly $1 trillion stimulus bill has not worked. However, President Barack Obama says there’s “nothing” he “would have done differently” about his economic stimulus plan, but one of his top outside economic advisers says the plan was “a bit too small.”

The New York Times’ Paul Krugman: From the liberal perspective, The NYT’s Paul Krugman writes that the stimulus has “damaged the credibility of the administration’s economic stewardship.”

The Washington Times: Finally, the Washington Times reports that that little mouse in Speaker Pelosi’s district did indeed get stimulus dollars. The tiny mouse that became a hotly disputed symbol of wasteful spending in the $787 billion economic stimulus bill has returned to pester House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The Obama administration revealed last week that as much as $16.1 million from the stimulus program is going to save the San Francisco Bay Area habitat of, among other things, the endangered salt marsh harvest mouse.
